Frequently Asked Questions

Everything parents ask before their child's first live class — answered clearly, no fine print.

A club is a live group that meets every week on Zoom around one shared interest, such as game design, debate, drawing or science. There is no fixed end date, so kids keep coming back to practice, share what they made and see the same friends.

A course teaches a set plan over a fixed number of weeks. A club is ongoing and more relaxed, with each meeting standing on its own, so it suits kids who want a regular hobby and a steady group of peers.

Clubs on this page cover ages 3 to 18, and each club lists its own age range. Pick one with a fairly narrow range so your child is with kids at a similar stage.

Most clubs meet for about 45 to 55 minutes a week, and most cost around $15 to $18 per meeting. The class page shows the exact length, schedule and price.

Group sizes vary from about 5 up to 20 kids, depending on the club. If your child is shy, look for a smaller group where everyone gets a turn to talk.

Many shy kids do well because they can join from home and warm up over several weeks with the same group. Let the teacher know in advance, and give it a few sessions before deciding.

Pick a club built around something they love, log in a few minutes early so they can chat, and set one small social goal each week, like saying a classmate's name. Friendships grow through seeing the same faces week after week.Read the guide: How to Help Your Child Make Friends in an Online Club

Start with what your child already talks about nonstop, then check the age range, group size and whether the time fits your week. Try a session and review together after about a month.Read the guide: How to Choose the Right Club for Your Child

Parents create every learner account, messages stay on Undoschool, and every class is recorded for safety. Recordings are seen only by the learner, the teacher and the Undoschool team, and each course is reviewed before it goes live.

Yes. Your first class is on us, so your child can meet the teacher and see the class style first. If it is not right, cancel before the second class starts for a full refund.

Both are marketplaces of live small-group classes run by independent teachers. On Undoschool every course is reviewed before it is listed, every class is recorded for safety, and your first class is on us. Compare the teacher and schedule for the specific class you want.

Message the teacher from your dashboard. Because sessions are recorded, the teacher can usually help your child catch up on what was covered.

A laptop, desktop or tablet with a camera and microphone, a steady internet connection, and a quiet spot. The class page lists any software or supplies the teacher needs.Read the guide: Getting Ready for Your Child's First Online Class
