Class Experience
Maps tell stories about the past. Each week kids explore a historical topic, such as ancient trade routes, great explorers or the rise of empires, through maps.
They make their own map projects and share them with the club, learning how geography shaped history.
How classes work
Each weekly session opens with a quick warm-up and a short new idea, then learners work on the session's challenge together while the teacher guides the group. Sessions end with time to share. New learners can join any week because each session stands on its own.
What we'll cover
Session theme 1: Ancient Trade Routes – Map the Silk Road and the goods traded along it.
Session theme 2: Explorers – Map a famous explorer's voyage and its challenges.
Session theme 3: Empires – Map how an empire grew and shrank over time.
Session theme 4: My History Map – Create and share your own history map.
