Class Experience
Great fantasy worlds feel real because they have rules, maps and history. In this course learners build their own world step by step: drawing a map with a real scale, planning travel distances and populations and designing a consistent magic system.
Each week adds a new layer, and learners finish with an illustrated world guide that includes a map, a magic rulebook, a short legend and a story set in their world.
How classes work
Each week starts with a short live demo of the new idea, followed by guided practice while the teacher checks in with every learner. Classes end with a small challenge to try before next time.
What we'll cover
Week 1: World Concept – Choose the world's big idea, climate and basic rules.
Week 2: Mapping with Scale – Draw a map with a scale bar and calculate distances between places.
Week 3: Geography and Peoples – Plan regions, cities and populations using simple math.
Week 4: Magic System Rules – Design how magic works, what it costs and what its limits are.
Week 5: History and Legends – Write a legend that explains something important in your world.
Week 6: World Guide Showcase – Assemble and present an illustrated world guide.
