This hands-on course introduces learners to Ancient Roman civilization by combining short historical lessons with guided Minecraft building projects. Over a 10-week sequence, each class focuses on a key aspect of Roman life or technology and pairs that context with step-by-step building so students understand why Romans built what they did, not just how. Students will begin with Rome’s geography and move through daily life, housing, town planning, transportation, water systems, entertainment, government, religion, military defenses and Roman legacy. Each week centers on a single project—examples include a map of Rome, insula and villa homes, a Roman street grid and forum, a stone road with bridges and milestones, an aqueduct, the Colosseum, temples, a fortified camp, and finally a compact Roman city that shows how these pieces fit together. The course is suitable for learners age 6–11 (grades 3–5). Lessons emphasize observation, problem solving and creative expression within Minecraft, helping students recognize architectural features, engineering solutions and civic spaces that shaped Roman cities and still influence the modern world. Builds are guided so students of varying Minecraft experience can participate. Multiplayer participation is optional; students may follow along in their own world or join the hosted world when able.

Paid once.
