Reading, Writing, Spelling, and Math — Unit 5

Part of a six-unit elementary sequence, this unit strengthens core reading and writing skills (cause and effect, rhyming, facts vs. opinions, proper nouns, contractions, punctuation, and adjectives) alongside weekly spelling practice. Writing tasks include narratives, procedural texts, letters, poetry, and lists. Math focuses on odd and even numbers, measurement with a ruler, graphing, addition and subtraction fluency, and identifying shapes and their attributes.
