This interactive reading club invites young learners into the rhyming, imaginative world of Dr. Seuss while building core early literacy skills. Each weekly session centers on a different Dr. Seuss book and combines a guided read-aloud with short, skill-focused activities. Students practice phonemic awareness through rhymes and sound games, expand vocabulary with simple word study, and strengthen reading fluency with expressive read-aloud practice. Creative extensions—drawing, acting, and storytelling—reinforce comprehension and encourage confidence. The class is designed for children beginning to read independently as well as those who enjoy being read to. Sessions cover age-appropriate listening and speaking activities, group discussion, and hands-on projects that connect to the books’ themes. The course schedule includes six featured books: The Cat in the Hat; Oh, the Thinks You Can Think!; Green Eggs and Ham; Horton Hears a Who!; Fox in Socks; and Oh, the Places You’ll Go!. Instructors guide children through playful exercises that focus on rhyme recognition, decoding simple words, and discussing characters and main ideas. Families can expect a supportive, small-group environment where kids practice reading-related skills while having fun with stories they know and love.

Paid once.
