Word study topics such as compound words and common irregulars are clearly built into the lessons, and the comprehension strategies (predicting, summarizing) are well integrated. I like the regular guided practice format.

As a parent, I found the overall design solid but felt the pacing might be a bit quick for some learners, especially when moving from sentence work to paragraph writing; a bit more time for revision and editing practice could help. This is just one viewpoint and others may feel differently.

This is a clear, balanced setup: reading-focused sessions with guided discussion and vocabulary work, and separate grammar & writing classes that move from sentence building toward paragraph writing. I appreciate the progressive scope and sequence in this invented review for the prototype.

I like the curriculum's focus on comprehension strategies and the progressive grammar scope, but in practice the twice-weekly 35–40 minute lessons sometimes felt too short to fully develop a writing piece in a small-group setting. We also would have appreciated a bit more guided practice time for spelling and irregular forms. The course content is promising, but pacing could be easier for some learners.
