Class Experience
This four-week course covers fraction representations and the four operations through an "I do, we do, you do" structure with spiral review. Topics include converting mixed and improper fractions, equivalent fractions, least common multiples for common denominators, multiplying and dividing fractions (including keep-change-flip), and comprehensive review to build confidence for middle-school math.
Learning Outcomes
Add and subtract fractions and mixed numbers accurately
Multiply and divide fractions using standard methods
Convert between mixed, improper, and equivalent fractions
Use least common multiples and simplify fractions (cross-cancel)
Prerequisites
It will help to have a great grasp on basic fraction skills and the multiplication chart as well.
