A four-week probability course for grades 5-7. Learners build spinners and dice in Roblox Studio, run experiments, compare predicted and actual results and design fair games.

Paid once.
Probability helps us understand chance and make smart decisions. In this four-week course learners in grades 5 to 7 explore probability by building and testing chance games in Roblox Studio.
In week one learners learn the language of probability, including impossible, unlikely, equally likely, likely and certain, and they express probabilities as fractions. They build a spinner with colored sections and predict how often each color will appear. Week two is about experiments. Learners use simple provided scripts to spin their spinner or roll virtual dice many times, record results in a table and compare the experimental probability with their predictions.
In week three learners explore compound events, such as rolling two dice, and discover why some totals happen more often than others. They make a frequency chart and talk about why more trials give more reliable results. The final week focuses on fairness. Learners analyze whether simple games are fair and then design their own fair game, explaining why each player has an equal chance.
The teacher connects each topic to real-life examples like weather forecasts and sports. The course does not involve betting or real money, and it encourages learners to think critically about chance in games.
By the end learners will understand basic probability, run experiments and explain whether a game is fair. No coding experience is required.
Each class includes a probability lesson, an experiment in Roblox Studio and a short discussion of results. Learners record data in tables and charts.
Week 1: Probability Language – Describe chance with words and fractions and build a spinner.
Week 2: Experiments – Run many spins and compare results to predictions.
Week 3: Two Dice – Explore compound events and frequency charts.
Week 4: Fair Games – Analyze fairness and design a fair game.
Describe likelihood with probability words and fractions
Run experiments and record results
Compare experimental and theoretical probability
Explore outcomes of two dice
Analyze and design fair games
Learners should understand fractions and basic data tables. Roblox Studio installed.
