A four-week math course for grades 6-7 that uses Roblox game economies to teach ratios, rates and percentages. Learners analyze prices, discounts and drop rates in real scenarios.

Paid once.
Game economies are full of ratios and percentages, from crafting recipes to shop discounts. In this four-week course learners in grades 6 and 7 use Roblox game examples to build strong ratio and percentage skills.
In week one learners explore ratios through crafting recipes, such as three wood to one stone, and use tables and tape diagrams to scale recipes up and down. Week two focuses on rates and unit rates. Learners compare coins earned per minute in different game activities to decide which is the best deal, and they calculate unit prices for bundles in a game shop. In week three learners learn percentages, calculating discounts during a game sale, finding the percentage of players who reached a level and converting between fractions, decimals and percents. The final week explores probability as percentages, such as a ten percent chance of finding a rare item, and learners discuss what drop rates really mean over many tries.
The teacher explains each concept with visuals, worked examples and short practice problems. Learners build small scenes in Roblox Studio to model problems, such as a shop with price tags and discount signs.
By the end learners will solve ratio, rate and percentage problems confidently and think critically about numbers in games. No coding is required.
Each class pairs a math lesson using game examples with practice problems and a short Roblox Studio modeling task.
