Class Experience
Space is full of huge numbers. In this course kids learn what a light-year really is and practise reading, comparing and estimating very large numbers.
They estimate how many stars are in the sky using sampling, log their own star counts at home and share their findings and big-number discoveries with the class.
How classes work
Each week starts with a short live demo of the new idea, followed by guided practice while the teacher checks in with every learner. Classes end with a small challenge to try before next time.

Week 1: Light-Years – Learn what a light-year is and calculate distances.
Week 2: Estimating – Estimate star counts using sampling.
Week 3: Logging – Log star counts at home and compare.
Week 4: Share – Share findings and big-number discoveries.
