Rocket Math Camp: Build and Launch Calculations

Teams build model rockets from paper and simple materials, then use math to predict and measure flight. They calculate distances, angles and averages like real rocket scientists.

Each session combines building with math, and teams finish by presenting their data and design improvements.

How classes work

Camp meets on back-to-back days. Each day builds on the last, mixing short demos, hands-on work and time to share progress, so learners finish the week with a complete project.

What we'll cover

• Day 1: Design – Design a model rocket and learn about forces.

• Day 2: Build – Build the rocket from paper and simple materials.

• Day 3: Measure – Measure rocket mass and dimensions.

• Day 4: Launch – Launch rockets and record distances.

• Day 5: Data – Calculate averages and compare results.

• Day 6: Present – Present data and design improvements.

No experience needed. Learners need a device with a camera and microphone for live classes.
