Class Experience
How long ago did dinosaurs live, and how long did they rule? This camp uses math to explore deep time, from the Triassic to the Cretaceous and the asteroid that ended it all.
Kids work with very large numbers, scale and timelines to understand Earth's history, then build their own timeline to scale and present it.
How classes work
Camp meets on back-to-back days. Each day builds on the last, mixing short demos, hands-on work and time to share progress, so learners finish the week with a complete project.
What we'll cover
Day 1: Deep Time – Explore millions of years with big-number math.
Day 2: Periods – Learn the Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous periods.
Day 3: Scale Timeline – Build a scale timeline of dinosaur history.
Day 4: Timeline Showcase – Present timelines and answer time-travel questions.
