Class Experience
This camp turns the wizarding lab into a math classroom for older fans. Each day learners work with potion recipes that can only be brewed correctly by using ratios, proportions and unit conversions.
Teams compete in friendly potion-brewing challenges with real (safe) ingredients, and the final day brings everything together in a Master Brewer math tournament with a house-points leaderboard.
How classes work
Camp meets on back-to-back days. Each day builds on the last, mixing short demos, hands-on work and time to share progress, so learners finish the week with a complete project.
What we'll cover
Day 1: Ratios in the Recipe – Read potion recipes as ratios and keep mixtures balanced.
Day 2: Proportional Scaling – Scale recipes up and down for different numbers of wizards.
Day 3: Unit Conversions – Convert between milliliters, cups and spoons to follow foreign recipes.
Day 4: Master Brewer Tournament – Compete in a team math tournament with timed potion challenges.
