This interactive 12-session class uses the Warrior Cats stories—chapter books or graphic novels depending on reader level and parent preference—to strengthen comprehension, vocabulary, and writing. Each session combines guided reading, group discussion, vocabulary practice, and focused writing tasks that help students think about characters, plot, themes, and evidence from the text. Students will read selected sections in class, respond to comprehension questions, and play word games that reinforce new vocabulary in context. Writing activities range from short responses and paragraph practice to a longer, guided written response later in the course. Lessons emphasize making inferences, comparing characters, identifying important story moments, and supporting ideas with textual evidence. The instructor adapts the reading format to match student ability: chapter book passages for stronger independent readers or graphic novel sections for visual or developing readers. Small-group discussion time encourages students to share predictions, interpretations, and connections to the story while practicing clear spoken and written expression. This class is ideal for students who enjoy animal fantasy and want structured, discussion-based practice to improve reading analysis and written responses. By the end of the course, learners should feel more confident answering text-based questions, using new vocabulary, and organizing their ideas in paragraphs and short essays.

Paid once.
