This project-based weekly coding club introduces young learners to block-based programming using the free ScratchJr app. Each session focuses on a new, hands-on project—stories, animations, or simple games—so children get a fresh, achievable challenge every week and can join at any time. Students learn core early-coding concepts such as sequencing, loops/repeats, events, and debugging while practicing storytelling, basic logic, and early math thinking. Sessions emphasize creativity and confidence: kids design characters, set up backgrounds, program motion and interactions, and then share their creations with peers. Sample weekly projects include creating an introductory animated story with Scratch Cat, a space-themed moving-rocket game, a chase game with collisions, animated color and background changes, a repeated-motion “under the sea” scene, a music-driven dance animation, neighborhood stories with dialogue, and a mini maze game. New themes continue each week, with seasonal and interest-based variations. ScratchJr runs on iPads, Android tablets, and Chromebooks (via the ScratchJr extension). The club is suitable for complete beginners and focuses on short, achievable projects that build skills progressively while keeping sessions playful and age-appropriate.

Paid once.
Live weekly sessions focus on one new project per meeting. Kids follow step-by-step demonstrations, build their own version, and share work with peers. Families can join anytime because each week is a standalone project. A tablet or Chromebook with ScratchJr is required; a second device for video can help.
