This beginner-friendly Scratch course teaches Grade 3-4 students the foundations of coding through creative, project-based lessons. Across 12 guided sessions, students design sprites, backgrounds and costumes, add animations and sound, and learn programming concepts like movement commands, loops, If/Else decisions, collision detection, broadcasting messages, and debugging. Projects introduce concepts gradually: students start with a Jungle Quest to learn sprite and background creation, build a Ghost Dance Party and sound-driven projects, make a Google Doodle with interaction, and create movement-focused games using Go To and Glide. Lessons cover branching choices in a coding adventure, collision-based games like Catch the Ghosts, message broadcasting in a Bat and Ball game, and storytelling with a three-scene cartoon. The final lesson is Scratchy’s Big Adventure, where learners combine their skills into a complete interactive game. No prior Scratch or coding experience is required. By the end of the course, students will have hands-on experience building multiple projects, understand core Scratch blocks and programming logic, and gain confidence to create their own original animations and games.

Paid once.
Twelve step-by-step, project-based lessons. Each lesson introduces a concept with a demo, then students build and test a related project. Lessons include guided practice, mini challenges, and a final capstone project that integrates all skills. No prior coding needed.
