Class Experience
Teams take on the role of NASA engineers and code a simulated Mars rover. They learn about Mars and real rovers, then program their rover to move, avoid obstacles and use sensors.
The camp ends with a mission challenge where teams present their rover and explain their code.
How classes work
Camp meets on back-to-back days. Each day builds on the last, mixing short demos, hands-on work and time to share progress, so learners finish the week with a complete project.
What we'll cover
Day 1: Mars – Learn about Mars and real Mars rovers.
Day 2: Rover – Code the rover to move and turn.
Day 3: Obstacles – Program the rover to avoid obstacles.
Day 4: Sensors – Use sensor blocks to detect terrain.
Day 5: Mission – Complete a team mission challenge.
Day 6: Present – Present the rover and explain the code.
