Roblox Scripting Basics

A four-lesson course for learners who already use Roblox Studio and have built their own games; it teaches basic scripting fundamentals in Luau. Lessons review building tools, introduce functions and event types, cover conditionals and loops, and conclude with a mini showcase so students can apply and share what they built.

Students must have experience using a Windows/Mac computer. Students must have experience using a keyboard and mouse. Students must have experience using Roblox Studio and making their own Roblox games BEFORE enrolling in this class.

Materials needed:

Roblox Studio is required for this course. Roblox Studio can only be used on a Windows/Mac computer. Chromebooks, Tablets, Smartphones, are NOT compatible with Roblox Studio. Roblox Studio can be downloaded from www.roblox.com/create

I strongly recommend using two devices for the class so that your child can view both my screen and their own screen. Having a computer mouse for Roblox Studio is strongly encouraged.

All live Outschool classes require a video camera.
