Lua in 30: Bite-Size Roblox Scripting

Short lessons make scripting easier to absorb. Each 30-minute class teaches one Lua concept and applies it right away in Roblox Studio, with a mini challenge to try before next week.

By week six learners combine everything they have learned into their own small playable game that friends can try.

How classes work

Each week starts with a short live demo of the new idea, followed by guided practice while the teacher checks in with every learner. Classes end with a small challenge to try before next time.

What we'll cover

• Week 1: Print and Properties – Write first scripts that print messages and change parts.

• Week 2: Variables – Store and change values like scores.

• Week 3: Events – Make parts react when players touch them.

• Week 4: Loops – Repeat actions to make blinking lights and moving parts.

• Week 5: Functions – Reuse code with functions to keep scripts tidy.

• Week 6: Mini Game – Combine everything into a small playable game.

No experience needed. Learners need a device with a camera and microphone for live classes.
