Class Experience
This course examines Nero and the turbulent end of the Julio-Claudian dynasty, addressing court politics, conspiracies, provincial monuments, religious and social history, and material culture. Lessons use primary-source evidence, archaeological and artistic examples, and translated Latin/Greek texts to build a rounded understanding of the period.
