AI Coding for Kids L1: Build Face and Hand Detection Games

This interactive, project-based course introduces young learners to core AI ideas using face and hand detection. Over eight guided sessions, students use block-based coding to create playful, tangible projects—face filter quizzes, chase games, mouth-recognition challenges, hand-controlled ping pong, leaderboard challenges, and a final AI-powered space battle that combines learned skills. Each class follows a consistent routine: a short demo to introduce the AI concept, a step-by-step project walkthrough with live coding, time for creative customization, and a show-and-share segment where students present their work and get feedback. Lessons reinforce problem solving, logic, and design thinking while letting students experiment with detection, timers, collision logic, simple conditionals, and interactive controls like finger pinching and gesture triggers.
