This eight-week course turns students from AI users into AI builders using Google Teachable Machine. Lessons are visual and project-based, focusing on building working models rather than heavy theory. Students train image classifiers, create simple sound detectors, and explore pose recognition while learning how labeled data affects model performance. The class shows practical ways to improve accuracy and how to evaluate bias and reliability in real conditions. Each week includes a guided creation task and short experiments to test models under different conditions. Students will learn to export models and embed them in a simple web page, then apply their skills to a creative game or gesture-controlled project. The program culminates in a final demo where each learner presents a custom AI application they built during the course. Activities emphasize hands-on practice: collecting examples, labeling data, testing model behavior, and iterating on training to improve results. No heavy math is required, and instruction is paced for ages 7 to 12. Family members can support by helping with setup. Required tools are simple: pen and paper and a computer or laptop with internet access and a webcam. The course is a practical introduction to machine learning concepts and model-building experience appropriate for young learners.

Paid once.
Meet once weekly for eight guided sessions. Each lesson focuses on a specific project using Teachable Machine: build and refine a model, run experiments to test accuracy and bias, export the model, and apply it in a simple web demo. The final session is a student showcase.
Describe how labeled examples train simple machine learning models
Build and improve image, sound, and pose classifiers using Teachable Machine
Evaluate model accuracy and test how conditions affect performance
Export a trained model and use it in a basic web demo
No prior coding or AI experience required. Comfortable using a computer and a web browser.
