Class Experience
This course uses structured word inquiry to teach that English spelling is orderly and meaning-based. Students study phonemes, graphemes, morphemes, suffixing conventions (including y→i and silent -e rules), and the influence of Greek and Latin roots, while practicing word research and hypothesis-driven spelling decisions.
