This beginner-friendly Python summer camp is designed for students ages 9–13 who are new to programming or have only tried a little coding. Across eight sessions, learners write their own programs step by step and build a small project in nearly every class rather than only watching demonstrations. Classes focus on practical skills you can use right away: printing output, reading user input, storing values in variables, working with numbers and text, and using arithmetic to perform calculations. Students also learn decision-making with if/else statements and how to add simple randomness to make programs more interactive. Each lesson gives students hands-on practice: they type code, run it, test results, and get instructor guidance and feedback while debugging. Topics are introduced with clear examples and then reinforced by short, guided projects like calculators and guessing games that combine multiple concepts. The final session reviews key ideas and guides learners as they combine what they have learned into a slightly larger project. This camp builds a solid, practical foundation in Python and algorithmic thinking that prepares students to explore game design, robotics, or more advanced Python projects later. No prior coding experience is required; students should be comfortable using a keyboard and following on-screen instructions.

Eight instructor-led sessions. Each class introduces a concept and guides students through a short project. Learners type and test code in real time, get feedback, and finish with a final project that combines the course topics.
