This project-based Minecraft course teaches students how to plan and build functional and creative structures while practicing survival skills and basic Redstone engineering. Over ten guided sessions, learners use both Survival and Creative modes on a private Minecraft Bedrock server to design starter bases, treehouses, bridges and roller coasters; add automated farms; and build Redstone-powered doors, traps and lighting. The class emphasizes real-time feedback, collaboration, and iteration: each session introduces a theme or challenge, includes guided gameplay, and leaves time for students to share builds and reflect on improvements. Students will practice core survival skills like crafting tools and preparing for the first night, learn to defend against mobs, and explore Redstone components such as pressure plates, dispensers and tripwires to create automation and defenses. Projects balance function and aesthetics so students gain engineering thinking, spatial awareness and teamwork. The instructor provides live guidance during gameplay and helps students test and refine their designs. The course is suitable for learners in grades 4 through 7 and runs across ten meetings with a mix of individual and group work culminating in a showcase of student builds.

Paid once.
Weekly live sessions combine short instructor-led demos with hands-on building time on a private Minecraft Bedrock server. Classes alternate between group projects and individual work. Students receive live feedback, collaborate on larger builds, test Redstone systems in survival scenarios, and present progress during a final showcase.
