Roblox Pet Adoption Center: One-Day Design Challenge

Pet adoption centers help animals find loving homes. In this one-time design challenge learners build their own pet adoption center in Roblox Studio and think about what animals and visitors need.

The class begins with a short discussion about how real shelters work, including where animals sleep, how they get exercise and how families meet a new pet. Learners then plan their center, deciding where to place kennels, a play yard, a vet room and a welcome desk.

Next learners build their center in Roblox Studio. They model simple kennels and pet beds, add a fenced play yard with toys, and decorate a welcome area with signs and plants. The teacher shares building tips for making spaces look neat and inviting, such as using matching colors and leaving room for visitors to walk.

In the final part of class learners tour each other's centers and explain one way their design keeps pets happy and healthy. The class connects game design with empathy for animals and responsible pet care.

No coding is required. Basic Roblox Studio skills such as moving and resizing parts are helpful. Learners leave with a finished adoption center they can keep building on at home, plus ideas for turning it into a playable pet game later.
