History of the Fante Confederacy

This course traces the history of the Fante people and the Fante Confederacy, from origins and the rise of Bonoman through Portuguese and Dutch contact, the Komenda wars, conflicts with the Ashanti, efforts to restructure government, and the eventual decline of the confederacy. Lessons focus on key events, alliances, and external influences that shaped the region.
