Grade 4 Homeschool: English, Math & Science Full-Year Curriculum

This full-year Grade 4 homeschool curriculum brings English Language Arts, Math, and Science together in a consistent, structured program. Over 36 weeks we meet four times each week for 50-minute live classes (144 total sessions). Small groups let each learner participate, ask questions, and receive focused feedback. Weekly structure repeats to build routine and depth: one Reading & Vocabulary class, one Grammar & Writing class, one Math class, and one Science class or math review. Reading lessons use short, engaging texts to practice comprehension skills like making inferences, identifying theme and character development, analyzing author’s craft, and using text evidence. Vocabulary is developed naturally through discussion and context. Grammar and writing lessons move from sentence structure to richer composition: combining ideas, using prepositional phrases, correct noun and pronoun use, verb tenses, and editing strategies. Writing practice is woven into every English lesson with guided activities and short composition tasks. Math focuses on place value, multi-digit addition and subtraction, multiplication strategies, rounding and estimation, number patterns, and multi-step problem solving. Lessons use visual models, hands-on practice, and guided problem solving to strengthen number sense and procedural skill. Science lessons explore forms of energy, motion, thermal transfer, electricity and simple circuits, waves, light and sound, and how these concepts connect to everyday life. Lessons include investigations, demonstrations, and data-based discussions to encourage evidence-based reasoning. Families can request reasonable adjustments to better match a child’s interests or learning needs. This program is designed to give learners steady progress across core subjects while keeping learning interactive and enjoyable.
