Class Experience

A 13-week geography class meeting twice weekly that introduces two U.S. states each week. Lessons cover locating states on a map, state capitals, geographical characteristics and climate, state symbols (bird, flower, tree, insect), nicknames/mottos, notable parks and local foods/activities. Instruction is teacher-led with slides, pictures, group games and a weekly activity/coloring page; students may share personal observations about each state.
