Class Experience
This course uses multisensory Orton‑Gillingham methods—modeling with colored tiles, visual review cards, oral practice, and writing—to teach Level 7 spelling concepts. Each lesson includes review, introduction of a new concept with guided tile practice, independent writing, analysis of words, and progress assessment.
Learning Outcomes
Determine when to drop the silent E before a consonant suffix and when to keep it before a vowel suffix
Spell words where the "sh" sound is represented by CI
Recognize and spell words with the E-consonant-E pattern
Distinguish which words ending in the "ents" sound use ANCE versus ENCE
Apply learned spelling patterns in sentence and paragraph writing
