This 12-session summer camp reviews key 6th grade math concepts and builds problem-solving confidence for middle school. Students work with visual models, guided examples, and hands-on practice to master area, volume, surface area, unit conversions, and introductory statistics. Lessons emphasize real-world applications so learners see how formulas and data skills apply to everyday problems. Each class features a warm-up review, teacher-led instruction with worked examples, interactive practice, and collaborative challenges that encourage discussion and reasoning. Activities include decomposition strategies for finding area, calculating volume of rectangular prisms including fractional side lengths, and finding surface area for prisms and pyramids. Measurement lessons focus on comparing and converting between customary and metric units using operations and word problems. The statistics portion introduces statistical questions and data types, teaches how to create and interpret dot plots, histograms, stem-and-leaf plots, and how to use measures of center and variability. Students calculate mean, median, and mode, and explore mean absolute deviation and interquartile range to compare datasets. Small class sizes allow individualized support and targeted feedback. By the end of the camp, learners will have reviewed core procedures, practiced multi-step reasoning, and applied math to data and geometry problems. A final review and application session brings topics together through games, puzzles, and team challenges that reinforce skills covered in earlier lessons.

Paid once.
Over 12 sessions, each class begins with a warm-up, followed by teacher-guided instruction, worked examples, and interactive practice. Lessons use visual models, real-world problems, and collaborative activities. Small class sizes allow time for questions and individualized support. Worksheets are provided as needed.
