Class Experience
A hands-on engineering course that teaches how hydraulic systems transfer force by building three cardboard machines: a hydraulic box, a drawbridge, and a crane. Students begin with syringe experiments to learn principles, then design, build, test, troubleshoot, and improve their models through iterative play and experimentation to observe cause and effect in simple hydraulic systems.
