Roblox Underwater World: Build an Ocean Reef Map

The ocean is full of color and mystery. In this four-week course learners dive into Roblox Studio to build their own underwater reef world, learning terrain and building skills along the way.

In week one learners shape the seafloor with terrain tools, creating sandy flats, rocky ridges and a deep trench, then fill it with water. Week two focuses on the coral reef. Learners build colorful coral, sea plants and rocks using parts and unions, and learn about why reefs are important homes for sea life. In week three they model simple sea creatures such as fish, a turtle and a jellyfish and place them around the reef.

In the final week learners add points of interest that make the world fun to explore, such as a sunken pirate ship, a treasure chest and an underwater research base with glass domes. They use lighting and water settings to create clear shallow areas and darker deep zones.

The teacher shares facts about real ocean habitats and demonstrates each building technique. Learners give a short tour of their reef and share one ocean fact they learned.

By the end learners will have a detailed underwater map and new skills with terrain, color and modeling. No coding is required, and the course is beginner friendly.

How classes work

Each class pairs an ocean fact with a building demo. Learners add new areas and creatures to their reef and share progress at the end.
