This private tutoring offering helps middle school learners build clear understanding and confidence in introductory statistics through focused explanations, visual examples, and guided practice. Sessions are tailored to each student's current curriculum, homework, or upcoming tests so instruction targets the concepts the student needs most. Instruction covers core topics commonly taught in grades 6–8, including mean, median, mode and range; reading and creating tables, bar graphs, line plots and histograms; recognizing distributions, spread, clusters and outliers; and identifying populations, samples and common sampling methods. We also address sampling bias, comparing datasets, and drawing evidence-based conclusions from data. Every session is customized: the tutor assesses the student’s current level, reviews any teacher materials or assignments the student brings, models problem-solving strategies, and provides practice problems with feedback. Visual tools and step-by-step explanations are used to make abstract ideas concrete. Students who bring classwork or tests will receive help applying class methods and improving accuracy and interpretation skills. This tutoring is appropriate for learners who want targeted support with class topics, homework help, or preparation for classroom assessments. It emphasizes conceptual understanding, data interpretation, and the calculation and explanation of basic statistical measures so students can solve problems independently and explain their reasoning.

Paid once.
One-on-one sessions begin with a quick assessment of the student’s needs and any materials they provide. The tutor explains concepts with examples, models problem steps, and guides the student through practice. Each meeting is adjusted to focus on homework, weak areas, or test prep, with time for review and strategy development.
