Class Experience
Students break food items into basic shapes, then add faces, expressions, and accessories to create cute food characters. Instruction is step-by-step and focuses on character design and stylistic choices; by course end students will have a small collection of themed food drawings.

Prerequisites
Materials needed:
Students will need either a sketchpad, or 5-10 sheets of drawing or printer paper. Pencils and erasers are a must. Coloring utensils can be crayons, colored pencils, and/or markers. A Sharpie marker is optional. Students can frame their artwork by stapling or taping it to a larger sheet of colored construction paper (also optional).
