Every great game starts with a memorable hero. In this quick, energetic class, children invent their own character from scratch. They start with simple shapes that hint at personality, such as a round, cheerful explorer or a tall, swift runner, then add clothing, gear and a special power.
Kids learn easy tricks game artists use, like giving a hero one standout color, a clear silhouette and an action pose that shows what they can do. By the end, each child has a labeled character sketch with a name and power, plus ideas for coloring it in later.
This is a single 30-minute session. The teacher demonstrates each step live while kids draw along at their own pace, with short check-ins to hold up drawings and share ideas. Children leave with a finished hero sketch.
Use basic shapes to show a character's personality
Design an outfit and gear that fit a hero
Draw a clear action pose showing a special power
Name and label an original game character
No experience needed. Learners should be able to write a few words to label their drawing. They need a device, paper, a pencil, an eraser and colored pencils or markers.
Paper and pencil are for sketching the hero, and colored pencils or markers add a signature color and details.

Yes. No experience is needed. Every hero starts from simple shapes like circles, ovals and rectangles, and the teacher shows each step slowly. Children who rarely draw usually surprise themselves with how quickly their character comes together.
Your child will finish with an original game hero sketch, including a body shape, outfit, gear, special power and action pose, labeled with the hero's name. They will also know simple tricks game artists use, like a clear silhouette and one standout color.
It is a single 30-minute session that stands on its own. Your child starts and finishes their hero sketch within the class, so there is nothing to continue afterwards unless they want to keep drawing.
There is usually time to add a signature color and a few details, but the focus is on designing and sketching the hero. Many kids enjoy fully coloring their character afterwards using the color ideas they planned in class.
Yes, they may fit well. The age range of 7 to 11 is a flexible guide. A 6-year-old who enjoys drawing, can follow step-by-step instructions and can write a word or two to label their hero would likely enjoy the class.
There is no homework, since this is a one-time class and the drawing is completed during the session. There is no certificate. Your child keeps their original hero sketch.
You can cancel from the class in your parent dashboard. If you cancel before the class starts, you receive a full refund to store credit or your original payment method. A missed class counts as used, but for illness or emergencies you can contact support, who review each case.
