An eight-week course where learners design and model custom non-player characters and props in Roblox Studio. They create shopkeepers, guards, creatures and matching items for a game world.

Paid once.
Characters bring a game world to life. In this eight-week course learners design and model their own non-player characters, or NPCs, and the props that go with them in Roblox Studio.
Learners begin by studying character design, including shape language, where round shapes feel friendly and sharp shapes feel tough. They sketch a cast of characters for a game world, such as a market town with a baker, a guard, a wizard and a pet creature. Next they build their first character using parts and meshes, focusing on proportions, faces and simple clothing details. Learners then explore Roblox's rigging basics so characters can be posed.
In the middle weeks learners model each character's signature props, such as a bread basket, a shield or a spell book, and design matching color palettes so the cast looks consistent. They create a simple creature with a unique silhouette and practice giving each character a clear personality through pose and detail.
In the final weeks learners place their characters in a scene, add name signs and short speech bubbles, and arrange a character showcase. The teacher demonstrates modeling techniques and gives detailed feedback on design choices.
By the end learners will have a cast of custom characters and props ready for a game. No coding is required. Basic Studio skills are recommended.
Each class introduces a character design idea and modeling technique. Learners build new characters or props and present them for feedback.
