Harry Potter Halloween: Creative Writing and Crafts (Ages 7-12)

This seasonal Creative Writing & Arts Club invites young witches and wizards to explore imaginative storytelling and hands-on crafts across themed months. Each week focuses on a new prompt and a related maker project so students practice writing while creating props, illustrations, or craft-based story elements. October — Harry Potter Halloween Magic - Week 1: Your First Magical Adventure - Week 2: Magical Creatures & Mysterious Monsters - Week 3: The Witch's Secret Spellbook - Week 4: The Great Halloween Mystery at Wizarding School November — A Magical Thanksgiving - Weeks cover a wizarding feast mystery, a magical creature in need, gratitude-themed stories, a Thanksgiving feast scene, and friendship and kindness in a magical setting. December — Christmas at Wizarding School - Weeks include a missing present mystery, a magical delivery, school holiday celebrations, and a winter wonderland spell. January — Back to Wizarding School - Weeks focus on returning adventures, a secret classroom mystery, creating a magical subject, and a school treasure hunt. Each class combines a themed warm-up, a story challenge prompt, a guided writing workshop, a maker project tied to the story, and a showcase where students share their work. No prior creative writing experience is required, and each weekly session stands on its own so students can join at any time. Instructors provide prompts, feedback, and encouragement while leaving plenty of room for each child’s unique ideas and artistic choices.
