Mermaid Kingdom Stories: Write a Fantasy Tale

Under the sea lies a whole kingdom waiting to be written. Learners design a mermaid kingdom with its own creatures, rulers and secrets, then write an original fantasy tale set there.

Each class teaches one story skill, from building a vivid setting and creating characters with goals to planning a plot and writing a satisfying ending. Learners finish with a complete story to share.

How classes work

Each week starts with a short live demo of the new idea, followed by guided practice while the teacher checks in with every learner. Classes end with a small challenge to try before next time.

What we'll cover

• Week 1: Build the Kingdom – Design the underwater kingdom, its creatures and its rules.

• Week 2: Mermaid Characters – Create the hero, a friend and a challenge they must face.

• Week 3: Write the Adventure – Draft the exciting middle of the tale with vivid description.

• Week 4: Ending and Sharing – Finish and revise the story, then share it with the class.

No experience needed. Learners need a device with a camera and microphone for live classes.
