The course emphasizes scientific reasoning—identifying patterns and cause-and-effect—which I liked. Topics like earthquakes, volcanoes, and the rock cycle were presented in a way that invited my kid to observe and ask questions.

Content is comprehensive for an 8-lesson course, but I would have liked more visual supports or optional extension activities for kids who finish investigations quickly; otherwise the topics listed are well chosen.

I found the balance between conceptual models and practical observations helpful, and the once-a-week 45-minute meeting fit our after-school routine. The inclusion of human impacts alongside natural systems felt important and relevant.

As a parent, I liked that the 8-lesson structure clearly covered Earth's layers, plate tectonics, and the rock cycle with age-appropriate explanations for grades 6–8. The mix of conceptual models and hands-on investigations felt well balanced.
