Class Experience
This course is for trombonists beyond the absolute beginner stage who seek to bridge basic playing and technical proficiency. Lessons focus on partial placement, arpeggios, articulation and slurring, range development, phrasing, and applying those skills to etudes with targeted drills and performance practice.
Learning Outcomes
Develop precise partial and slide placement
Improve articulation and slurring for rhythmic patterns
Expand range and control across registers
Apply phrasing and breath management when performing etudes
Prerequisites
Materials needed:
🎒 Requirements
A functional Tenor Trombone (with slide oil/cream).
A music stand or place to set your music for viewing.
At least 6 months of playing experience (must be able to read basic sheet music and know the 7 slide positions).
Class etude music samples and handouts.
A desire to make some serious noise!
