This weekly art club is designed for kids ages 5-8 who love animals and drawing. Each session focuses on a different pet or animal and teaches simple, age-appropriate drawing techniques that build fine motor skills and artistic confidence. Classes begin with a live, step-by-step drawing demonstration that breaks animals down into basic shapes and shows how to add features like ears, whiskers, shells, or feathers. Children then follow along with their own materials, experimenting with color, texture, and background details using pencils, crayons, markers, or watercolor. The instructor creates a relaxed, encouraging space where students are invited to bring a photo of their pet or a favorite plushie for inspiration. Optional show-and-tell time gives kids a chance to share their artwork and talk about the animals they drew. Projects alternate between realistic and imaginative portraits so learners practice observation skills and also flex creativity by inventing new creatures. Weekly themes include puppies, cats, bunnies, fish, birds, reptiles and small pets, and an imaginative-pet session where children design their own fantasy companion. Throughout the course, emphasis is on clear, repeatable steps, gentle feedback, and hands-on practice so students leave with completed pet portraits and stronger drawing habits.

Paid once.
Live, guided demos model each step while children draw along at home. Sessions use simple shapes, repeated practice, and different tools (pencil, crayon, marker, watercolor). Kids may share work during optional show-and-tell. No prior experience required.
