Getting Started
The learner meets yarn, hooks and needles, then practises a slip knot, chain, single crochet and casting on.

Four relaxed private lessons that teach the basics of both crochet and knitting at the learner's own pace. Kids learn core stitches, read simple patterns and finish a small handmade project to keep or give.

Paid once.
Crochet and knitting are calming, portable crafts that kids can enjoy for life, but they are much easier to learn with someone watching your hands. In these four private lessons, the teacher sees exactly how the learner holds the hook, needles and yarn, and corrects small habits before they become frustrating.
The course introduces both crafts side by side. Learners start with a slip knot, chain and single crochet, then cast on and try their first knit stitches. Week two adds double crochet and builds steady rows in both crafts. Week three introduces the purl stitch, simple shaping and how to read a beginner pattern and its abbreviations.
In the final lesson learners finish a small project of their choice, such as a crochet coaster, a mini knitted scarf for a toy or a bookmark, and learn how to fasten off and weave in ends neatly. Many learners choose to make their project as a gift, and the teacher shares ideas for simple pieces to make together with a friend or family member afterward.
The one-on-one pace is gentle and unhurried. Learners can slow down, repeat a stitch as many times as they need and ask questions freely, which makes this a good fit for kids who feel shy or anxious in group classes.
Lessons are scheduled one-on-one, once a week for four weeks. The teacher demonstrates each stitch close to the camera, then watches the learner try it and gives gentle corrections. Learners practise a few rows between lessons.

No. Complete beginners are welcome, as are kids who tried crochet or knitting before but got stuck. Lessons suit ages 8 to 16 and move at the learner's own pace.

Yes. Lessons are private, calm and unhurried, and the focus is on hands rather than talking. The teacher keeps the camera on the work and never pushes a child to share before they are ready.
In the last lesson they finish a small project such as a crochet coaster, a mini knitted scarf for a toy or a bookmark. Many kids choose to give it as a gift.
