Narrative Writing: Story Craft, Revision, and Multiple Genres

This semester course helps writers strengthen narrative craft across genres—short stories, memoir, poetry, drama, fairy tales, and mysteries—by reading as writers, practicing in-class writing, developing character and theme, and applying revising and self-editing strategies. Students work on drafting, receiving and incorporating feedback, and sharing work aloud to build clarity and confidence.

Materials needed:

Weekly worksheets, assignments, or writing tools are uploaded and provided, and we will discuss the students' work during each session. Students can use a desktop, laptop, tablet, or good old-fashioned pencil/pen and paper.
