Grammar Fundamentals: Parts of Speech and Sentence Diagramming

This nine-lesson course teaches parts of speech and sentence structure using diagramming and game-based practice. Lessons cover nouns, pronouns, verbs (including helping and linking verbs), adjectives, adverbs, prepositions, conjunctions, interjections, and sentence components, with homework and optional mid- and end-of-course quizzes to check mastery.

The only pre-requisite is that students should be able to read at at least an upper elementary level and should have the writing stamina to be able to write multiple sentences in a row.

Materials needed:

Students will be provided 7-10 pages of handouts to print for the course, and students will have one homework assignment to print each week.
