As a parent of a 12-year-old, I appreciated that the course material matched their level: everyday topics, kana review, and basic kanji without overwhelming them. The single weekly lesson over ten weeks provided consistent exposure and the instructor resources gave us tools for extra practice at home. Overall, a confident recommendation for middle and high school learners.

Overall very positive: my 12-year-old enjoyed learning phrases for taxi, sightseeing, and shopping and liked seeing words in English, Japanese script, and romaji. The once-a-week, 30-minute lessons were a good length, though we sometimes wished the pacing was a bit faster to cover more hiragana. Still, the focus on practical vocabulary and phonetic pronunciation made it worthwhile.

Very pleased — the vocabulary practice and guided conversations made Japanese feel useful and achievable for our 16-year-old.

This intermediate Japanese course struck a good balance between conversation practice and kana/kanji introduction. Lessons on nationality, age, and location kept things relevant, and the 45-minute sessions were just the right length for our teenager. The final personal presentation was a great way to apply what they'd learned.
