Class Experience
Strong paragraphs are the building blocks of good writing. In this weekly club young writers practise topic sentences, supporting details and closing sentences using fun, kid-friendly topics like pets, favorite foods and dream vacations.
Sessions are short and encouraging, with lots of chances to share and celebrate progress.
How classes work
Each weekly session opens with a quick warm-up and a short new idea, then learners work on the session's challenge together while the teacher guides the group. Sessions end with time to share. New learners can join any week because each session stands on its own.
What we'll cover
Session theme 1: Topic Sentences – Write topic sentences about favorite things and dream vacations.
Session theme 2: Juicy Details – Add details, examples and describing words to support the topic.
Session theme 3: Closing Sentences – Finish paragraphs with strong closing sentences.
Session theme 4: Paragraph Showcase – Write and share a complete paragraph with the club.
