This Grade 5 ELA full curriculum (48 meetings) develops clear, confident writers by combining grammar, vocabulary, creative and informational writing, research, and revision. Lessons focus on sentence structure and variety, verb tense and consistency, parts of speech, punctuation, and word choice so students can express ideas precisely. Students also study figurative language—similes, metaphors, idioms, personification—and practice using descriptive language to strengthen narratives and essays. Narrative units guide students through character, setting, plot, dialogue, and pacing, culminating in a complete narrative writing project. Informational and opinion modules teach how to identify main ideas, organize supporting details, evaluate sources, take notes, and cite simple bibliographies for short research projects. Every lesson pairs direct instruction with interactive games, guided practice, and writing workshops so learners apply skills immediately. Students finish the course with a portfolio of narrative, informational, research, and opinion pieces plus improved grammar, vocabulary, editing, and critical thinking skills that transfer across subjects. Note: this course is designed to build writing and grammar skills and does not focus on reading comprehension.

Paid once.
