This ongoing 11-week class uses well-known fairy tales to build early literacy and concept skills. Each session follows a routine: hello song, teacher reading and discussion of the week's tale, a related concept game, retelling the story with flannel board pieces, a movement activity, and a goodbye song. Lessons focus on sequencing, matching, size and number concepts, and cooperative storytelling.
